Information about the role
We are looking for a GP retainer (preferably female for team balance), with a view to partnership, for 4 sessions, ideally Thursdays and Fridays. There is scope for increase in sessions to 5-6, if desired, after 1 year.
Information about the practice
We are a small, happy, inner city practice with approximately 2,700 patients and a fantastic committed team. This includes our GP Principal, salaried GP, practice nurse, HCA, ANP, PBP, practice manager, finance manager, reception/admin team,
respiratory nurse, and a CBT counsellor. We offer weekly minor surgery and joint injection clinics. We are a NIMDTA training practice and host QUB medical students regularly. We have a patient population who are often highly complimentary of the service we offer - something of the "old fashioned" GP practice, where patient-centred continuity of care is paramount to all the team. This is an opportunity for someone to have regular work in a fantastic team, at a time when locum and OOH's work is less guaranteed. As a teaching and training practice, any new GP joining the team should have an interest in teaching and supervision. We also have GP owned premises, which brings it's own benefits and opportunities, including potential for diversifying some of the services we can deliver. I would envisage a new GP being forward thinking, keen to get involved in the development of the practice into the future.
